McLean Kennedy was founded in 1889 by Charles McLean, who had a steamship and brokerage Company, and Murray Kennedy who was involved in the lumber business. One of the oldest steamship agencies in Canada, McLean Kennedy has steadily grown and expanded its business since its early days of providing lumber chartering and stevedoring services from the St. Lawrence River and the Atlantic Provinces.
